FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

Replying to bridal enquiries

There are so many avenues to receive enquiries, it can be quiet overwhelming!
FB messenger, Instagram, Viber, WhatsApp, email, phone, text etc

You will come up with a system that works for you!

  • I personally opted not to use Viber and use WhatsApp instead.
  • For messenger I have an automated message asking enquiries to contact me via email, it is important to have a direct link to your email on that message, keep it as simple as possible.
  • Have your notifications settings turned on for all messaging apps
  • It is a good idea to have a pre typed response which will contain pricing information.
This will save you time in the office but you will need to personalize the response somewhat.
    Insert the brides name where possible or example;

Thank you for your email Sarah

You may also need to adjust your pricing for each enquiry.

  • You have one chance to impress a potential client if your first correspondence is via email I would list my credentials at the end of the email, add award icons to the signature section on your mail if you have not yet won an award but your work has featured on wedding blogs you can add a ‘featured on’ thumbnail, finalist badges as also impressive to potential clients.
  • Also include links to your website and social media platforms at the end of your email reply

Phone calls

  • I know we have been told this many times before but DO answer the phone with a smile it really does come through to the person on the other end!
  • Have a notebook in your bag or somewhere handy at home so you can jot down all the relevant details of the phone call.
  • Remember to get the callers email address
  • When you end the call send an email to confirm what you have agreed on the phone
  • Your voice message should be bright and cheery, apologize for missing the call and promise to reply as soon as possible.
  • You should reply to all enquiries within 24hours, of course you will have designated days off weekly and holidays to take so leave an ‘out of office reply’ state that you are on holiday and your return date so at least they know you received the message and will reply on your return.
  • I do think an office space is very important to focus the mind, this does not have to be a separate room, it can be a small corner in a room or under the stairs. You don’t need a big space just somewhere that you can focus on your work and walk away from it when it’s done.
